Deppy Vasileiadis Foundation actively supports the campaign of the Hellenic Cancer Society to raise public awareness for the marine pollution caused by the toxic substances and the non-biodegradable plastic materials of cigarette butts. On July 23, at 18:30, we set up the first wooden kiosk for smokers at the Beach of Alipedos Alimos, where the citizens were informed about the protection of our coasts and seas from environmental pollution!
The driving force of such action is the Foundation’s goals for raising awareness and educating the younger generation regarding the dangers that threaten the natural environment and the quality of life in it, in order to ensure a better future for children, free from practices and mentalities that undermine the concepts of sustainability and prosperity.
